Disregard those other responses. They were insensitive and cruel. You obviously needed some consoling and guidance. It came across as loving your father when he was on earth. We know he is somewhere of his good choosing with his family members who have passed on before him.
You loved him when he was alive and that is all that needs to be said. He felt it and went knowing he was loved by you. I hope this helps.
