First of all, you having big breasts isn't the reason for lots of milk. It's the more often you nurse, the more milk you will get. I wouldn't suggest pumping, as this will only increase your milk supply even more and eventually cause even more discomfort. Is the baby getting enough? If not, nurse more. If baby is getting enough then to relieve discomfort try taking a warm shower or put warm towels over your breasts. Eventually your milk production will even out with what your baby needs, so they wont be so sore.

You need to get (if you dont already have one) a breast pump because the baby is not drinking doesnt mean you will automatically stop producing more. You need to just pump it out, or express it as they say. Do this routinely until he eats more and more often and you wont get severe swelling from the milk trying to find a place to store up inside of your breast...that can be very painful. Hurry and get a pump, but if you feel really really bad, try and express it yourself by acting as a pump with your hands...you can probably do a search to find a proper way to do it...its a lot like milking a cow though. store your babies milk in the frig for later use.

If you have a breast pump you need to express your milk, otherwise you will get and infection. Why is your baby not getting enough, this is the information you needed to give us. Does the baby fall asleep? The baby needs to be stimulated so he/she will keep drinking so it gets past the "sugar" milk to the thick creamy milk which actually fills the belly up. I had that same problem when I had my first baby 20 over years ago. It hurt like hell I thought my boobs were going to stretch right off my body. My daughter had a strong suction and created a lot of extra milk that I could have shared with the rest of the hospital. The only thing I could do is nurse her more often to relieve the pressure. Not to worry this part of babies life will come to an end pretty soon.

use a breast pump to get the milk out into a bottle so u dont have to depend on ur baby to finish all the milk to stop the pain. also, the breast size has no effect on the amount of milk.

ok first. Breast size does not determine volume of breast milk. the swelling and pain is engourgement. You need to use a warm washcloth on your breast, a warm shower will help to let your milk down. And your body will not let your baby starve. Just have patience, your baby will pick up on your cues, if you are anxious then so will your baby.

Get a breast pump and bottle it or pour it down the drain. When your baby does not need to be on the nipple any longer , quit and your body will shut the milk off.

You need to purchase a breast pump and express the milk so that you can reduce your discomfort and also have plenty of milk on hand for your newborn. These pumps can be found at almost any drug store, WalMart, or Target. All ladies have to deal with this one, it is not unusual.

The amount of milk does not depend on the size of breasts. However, if you are having problems, check with your doctor. When my baby was small, he wasn't getting enough milk, so I had to stop nursing and put him on formula.

Your baby will be drinking all that it needs. If you have pain try expressing some milk off. Any problems see a doctor.
