I went out shopping with my mom today, and my jeans were too long, so I wore high-heels. It was only maybe an hour and a half trip, and then, when we were heading home, my mother told me that she didn't want me wearing high heels. She said that I was getting too "far ahead" in my age. I don't wear high heels all the time, just every so often, and I don't think there's anything wrong with it.

She also said that she wanted me just to be simple.

Think in reverse.... If I was a mom and my daughter started to wear high-heels tot he shopping mall ... how would I react? What might I think?

Then you have your answer to the real question ... how can mom accept that her little girl has grown up?

Well .. problem not the only question .. but it is way up there on the list.

If you wear them in a tastful manner, then no. Personally, I started wearing high heels when I was seventeen/eighteen and never went back, due to the fact that I have joint problems from a childhood illness and high heels release the stress on my ankles. In the end, it comes down to doing what your mother wants and how truly mature you are. Talk it over with your mom and maybe she'll see you're not wearing the heels for purposes to 'fit in', but to express that you're mature enough to carry 'classy' off. Maybe you and your mother can come to an agreement that when they're pretty much covered up or you need to keep up appearances for a recital or whatnot, that high heels (not too high, you don't want to make a fool out of yourself by twisting your ankle) might be okay.

There is nothing wrong with a girl your age wearing heels. As a fetishist, I've been training in heels since I was 13! I actually think that you would be dressing immaturely for your age if you didn't wear heels occasionally.

Helpful hint though- Anything REALLY high, like 4" or more, is definitely pushing it. And no platforms unless the shoes are wedges. Otherwise, they look like hooker shoes.

Good luck hun.

Sounds like your mom is either worried or has some kind of internal judgment of high heels. Personally I don't think high heels are inappropriate. I guess just try to talk it out with your mom or if that's not possible just wear heels whenever you can when she's not around? :)

i think of they might desire to be super as long as you do no longer placed on them in a slutty way.. Like, with short skirts. I merely offered a pair of overly sparkly extreme heals the different day, no longer understanding what i ought to even placed on them with.. yet they have been too cute to leave on the save :) It seems, extreme heals look rather rattling stable once you place on boot-decrease denims! it is going to greater healthful snug approximately halfway down the heal.. It cuts off from a number of the attention from the heal, yet nevertheless makes it major adequate! :D i'm 17 (18 in 2 months), and could be donning them possibly a pair of times a month in the time of faculty. i'm short, so i prefer the greater effective inches <3

No it's what is in style and unless you have a mini skirt and a strapless shirt on you aren't acting or looking provactive. Just wear them to dress up an outfit not to look sexy.
