I am for the right to have a safe and legal abortion. I would never try to convince anyone who is pregnant to go either way. I would tell them that it is a personal, private choice for her to make herself. You can only do what you feel is right for yourself.

Abortion is right. I mean, if you killed a baby AFTER it was born or after 3 or 4 mos of pregnancy then YEAH, it is wrong.

But if you want an abortion before the third month, then go ahead. I mean, what if the girl is a teenager and college is on the line? What if the girl is poor and can not afford the kid? What if she was raped? What if she just does not want a kid? What if it was a mistake?

But mostly for rape, is a good reason.
I mean, honestly, just because you do not want the kid does not really give you the right to have an abortion. I mean, it is YOUR FAULT that you had sex in the first place. You should know that sex brings babies if you don't watch it.

But then again I am for free choices. It is the womens' soul right to do whatever she wants with the kid. She is the mother, after all.

If I got pregnant right now at 17 years old, I would have an abortion. If i got pregnant when I was 28, I would have the kid. Or even after the age of 24 even though I do not plan on having kids before the age of 30.

An unborn child has the same basic requirements for survival that any other human being has: appropriate nutrition and appropriate shelter. The fact that the unborn reside inside another person should not make their lives arbitrarily expendable. And the idea that only a person with a uterus should be able to speak to this question regarding human life and death unfortunately only serves to demonstrate how modern feminism has strayed down the sexist path of disdain for half of the population.

Hoping the best for you...

I cannot say whether this is convincing or not, but I cannot be pro choice when they take things to extent of carrying the baby for the full term, flipping it so it comes out feet first, stop it before it's head comes out, snip its spinal cord and let it fall limp in their hands and say that it wasn't murder because it didn't take it's first breath. it bears the same DNA as the rest of us who should be thankful that our parents were pro life or we wouldn't be here. call me sensitive on the matter, but there isn't even a need for fetal stem cells when they cause tumors in every test subject, but they won't use adult stem cells which cause no such tumors just so women don't have to take responsibility for not keeping their legs crossed. once again, I may not be able to convince you, but I hope this helps you in your decision to choose life or "choice".

I am male, and therefore I have no right in my own mind to an opinion, but the question is phrased misleadingly. Given the history of the United States, the question should be:

Are you for legal, safe abortions done by licensed doctors in a clean environment in the USA, or are you for illegal, dangerous abortions done by whomever is bravest and most convincing that you can contact either in the black market or in other countries (in unlicensed, and/or unclean conditions)?

I am all for abortion. I believe a woman should have the right to make that choice, no matter what her reasons are. I don't believe it's right nor wrong.

I cannot convince you it is right or wrong, as only you can allow yourself to accept and change your mind.

My feeling it that abortion has been with us for all this time.

As far as a medical procedure goes, it should be made as safe as any medical procedure can be made.

If you truly wish to reduce abortion, reduce the need, but understand you can never eliminate it.

But to reduce the need, a complete rethinking of sex education, the status of women in society and the sharing of the responsibility must occur

It's not abortion that people are for, it is the woman's right to choose.

The best argumet I've found is that the head of the right-to-life organization is a MAN.

Seriously, if you haven't got a womb, you haven't got a right to an opinion on the subject.

if a baby was born and the doctor immediately ripped it to pieces limb from limb, the country would be horrified and he would probably spend the rest of his life in prison....so why is it OK that doctors do the same thing thousands of times a day but it is legal and classified as a "right"...the hypocrisy is mind-boggling.

I don;t have to try and convince anyone of anything. Right or wrong, its the law that a woman has the right to choose what happens to her body.
