A homonym is one of two or more words that have the same sound and often the same spelling but differ in meaning, such as bank (embankment) and bank (place where money is kept). homonymic.

Try saying the words out loud since they will sound the same.

An Aunt is your parents sister. An ant is an insect... both sound exactly the same but are spelled differently

Here is info on it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homonym

"A homonym is a word that has the same pronunciation and spelling as another word, but a different meaning. Example: The word stalk, meaning either part of a plant or to follow (someone) around."

Therefore, ant wouldn't work. Ant (insect) and Aunt (relative) have two different spellings. Remember, they must have the same spelling!

Example: Watch, meaning to watch television OR meaning the bracelet that has a clock on it.

Look for a phoenetic dictionary (Once that spells words the way they sound), it would have every homonym in it. such as there, their they're, aunt, ant etc.
