Never smoked - neither did my parents - I don't care if anyone else does. Freedom of choice is a right that should be taken from no one.

No, I don't smoke. But then again, I'm 15 so it's illegal for me. I'll never smoke, though. I personally think it's disgusting and I hate the smell of it. I believe if you smoke, you're asking for an early death. It is highly glamorised in Hollywood, and I think that is concerning for teenagers who see them as role models.

My parents don't smoke either. The only person I know who smokes is my grandfather. He's been smoking for decades. He's from China, where I guess the education about the dangers of smoking isn't widely distributed.

I don't accept smoking, but if people smoke, that is because it's their choice. Although I find that if I know a celebrity smokes, I'll feel differently towards them, and maybe don't like them ask much :)

No. My Father, stepmother, and stepfather smoke cigarettes. My Mother is allergic to alot of stuff so no. I accept it as a crime against humanity and a selfish, suicidal act. Noone has to smoke something to take a drug. The same things can simply be eaten with the same effect on the body without sharing the drugs with everyone around you.

dear mike, i hate smoking. i grew up in a time when all adults {or it sure seemed like it} smoked. all the movies and t.v. shows had the characters smoking. my brother and i would beg our parents{both heavy smokers} to please roll down a car window when on long car trips. we were promptly disiplined for our selfish requests! i now have bad lungs from 18 years of breathing in second hand smoke. just got out of the hospital 2 days ago from anotheer bout of pnuemonia. no one in my household smokes. i love my parents, but i feel very sad to see that what could be great retirement years for them, are years spent coughing, unable to climb stairs, bad health due to the good old tobacco. i wish no one ever marketed this product. it has caused so much sickness and death. you know the number 1 killer of people in america is heart disease, and the reason for that heart disease, well it's that crappy cigarette smoke. that's my vote.

I know you're not talking to older people here, but I'll answer this question in reverse.

My husband and I smoked when we were younger, from our mid-late teens until we were about 30. Then we quit, and never started smoking again. That was 25 years ago, and none of our children remember actually ever seeing us smoke.

We tried to be open-minded about things our kids were going through as teens... but the one thing we asked them NOT to do... demanded that they NOT do.... is to smoke. We know that all of them have tried it behind our backs; two of them are smokers, and two of them are not.... but none of them have smoked in our house in front of us.

I do not smoke, never have - never will.
I allow NO Smoking in my home. Don't like it - Don't come over.

My dad smoked for 30 years, stopped cold turkey 40 years ago. Mom still smokes, not in front of me.

Smoking is an addiction, Illegalize it.

i do not smoke. my father does. my mother does not. i hate smoking and think it is a horrible vice. i'm so glad i never tried smoking. i can't make my father stop smoking. when i tried as a child, he would just blow the smoke in my face and yell for awhile. i hate being around anyone who is smoking. but, i try to tolerate it.
