I bought my son a new T.M.X Elmo, (when they first came out before his second birthday) and there were a few on the shelf, and I didnt even think to buy a bunch.... I was in a hurry, and just grabbed one and ran, now they are selling for so much now. I could have made so much.. I seen some on ebay going for as much as $190.00

Isn't it amazing. It's almost like the toy companies intentionally do not produce enough of a popular item and then between the store and the toy company, they make a haul!

these things happen every year, i think the companies purposly dont put out enough just so the values will go up and they will make more money! Ive never seen the beet to what i went through last year trying to get the exclusive porcelin raggedy ann and andy dolls at walmart, i didnt think it was that big of deal because they were so expensive-35.00, put their was complete rage in that isle, i snagged one only to find out it was broken and on my way out a sales lady was their with a return and gave it to me:) The same thing used to happen with the holiday barbie dolls to, my mamaw hasthe orginal and first of seeries 1986 doll that worth about 1400, got in october of the year because a friend of hers had a friend who worked at a store that just had them in stock and put us aside 2 and she went and picked them up at lunch, she didnt really want one , it was really expensive at 40 dollars in the 80's but that friend somehow convinced that it was to good to pass up and she would totally thank her one day-she was right, so anyway, sometimes those things are a scam and the store or company is just holding them back, but then again you may strike gold, but either way dont worry about it much, people get crazy sometimes

My grandmother bought a Tickle Me Elmo when they first came out, and someone offered her $900 BEFORE she even bought it.

So $190 is nothing.

I know! It seems unbeleiveable how much that anything elmo is going for. Used or new, you can sell it for a mint if you can part with it! lol

Suckers are born everyday. If they would have been smart they would have bought one when you did.

and they are really a dumb toy, a stuffed "animal" that squeals tortured noises from being over-tickled... sounds a little abusive to me....

Duh! Don't you remember 10 years ago when people were getting into fights and paying $1000 just to run it over with a steamroller?
