The pill is not 100 percent effective and there are things that can mess with it. For example, if you vomit shortly after taking the pill.
Also, some ANTIBIOTICS AND ANTI INFECTIANT drugs make the pill not work. Check the info packet that comes with your pill if you don't believe me.

There are TONS of people who get pregnant on the pill... and the patch... and the shot... and condoms! They are far from 100% effective. If you're good at math, think about it some day. Say the pill is, 97% effective. That means 3 people out of 100 got pregnant... or 6 out of 1000... or... you know where I'm going. Lots of people do all the time. But, it is usually certain people that are effected. I got pregnant 2x... I will NEVER be able to use the pill. My body just doesn't react to it. If you're worried- use 2 different types of control such as a condom and the pill.

Yes, when I was 38 my children were 17, 15, and 12 and I had been taking the Pill faithfully for 11 years. I began to experience some difficult stomach problems involving pain after eating and heartburn. I went to my doctor for my yearly physical and she thought I had Irritable Bowel Syndrome. We were all stunned to find out I was pregnant and already 17 weeks along! My kids are now 27, 25, 21, and 9. My husband and I have been married for 29 years.

its been a year ago but I did get pregnant while using birth control pills..its very rare but it can happen. I had a misscariage though, but it can happen, so use another method of bc(ie a condom when having sex) while using the pill. I hope this helps

3 out of 3!!! First time, the pill. Last two times, the patch. Never missed and took correctly. BUT watch out for those antibiotics, they'll get you every time!!
Although, i've heard of plenty of people ending up preggers from the patch. So, depending on your fertility, you bet ya!!!

NO EFFECT!) And then..well...I claimed to be taking it...but I really wasn't...so...that doesn't count...
