Have you ever had a ct/mri scan of your lower back? This will be able to pick up on muscular issues as well as any issues with internal organs.
Also you might want to have your Creatinine checked as this can indicate issues with your kidneys...it is a just a lab blood test.
Good Luck :)

Have you had your kidney checked to make sure you do not have a kidney stone? Also, not knowing your age, have you had a full work up to make sure no cancer (ie colon, prostate, spine).
Alot of things can cause back pain. Losing weight can still cetainly help, but you need to have a complete history and physical. You should tell the doctor what makes it better or worse, whether it is sharp, dull stabbing etc. Whether it goes down a leg etc.
Lastly, make sure they also check your feet and ankles. There is a saying, "As the roots grow, so grows they tree".
Good luck!

It could be inflammation in the joints. Try these 3 simple inexpensive tricks:
1) Black cherry juice (about 3-6 oz a day)
2) Omega 3's like fish oil capsules (1-3 1k mg soft gels)
3) Sesame seed oil (topically and in cooking -light heat only)
All these work to relieve inflammation. (Especially the hidden kind. )
I've had back pain for years and these plus magnesium supplement have helped a lot.
Hope one of these helps you.

It would be cysts to your ovaries or it would be Charon's however best your physician can inform for definite. If it has lasted for approximately a yr it's extra the simply over response. Your mother must feel embarrassment about herself !!!! You do not say when you have every other signs like diarrea or mucous on your stools or blood if in case you have a bowel motion? I am definite those are questions your physician goes to invite yo so make an observation of your stools to look when you have any factor like this. Good good fortune to you.

I can empathise with you - had the same thing for quite a while. But it's improved with PT work and some "gentle" exercise as well. Dr. says "not much can be done" - well, seems like I just have to learn to live with it. Try taking glucousamine+chondroitin if it's a "degeneration" problem, it helps me a lot.
