I have a TI-83. I need to know the buttons or the how to get the following functions:

- find highest common factors of numbers
- converting meters to millimetres or the like
- give answers in scientific notation
- represent a number as the product of its prime factors
- represent a number in exponential form
- give composite factors
- convert fractions to decimals, or mixed fractions to other types of fractions
- express percentages as fractions
- find the mean, median and mode of a set of numbers

1, 2, 4, 6: there are no such buttons
3. Mode | Sci
5. Log
7. Simply divide two numbers to get the decimal value. There is no button for the second.
8. No button, but you can divide by 100.
9. Enter the numbers in Stat | Edit. Then use Stat | Calc | 1-Var Stats.

To convert mixed fractions to fraction, or express percentages as fractions, you have to find the equivalent decimal value first.

Eg. Five and 3 quarters = 5 + (3/4) = 5.75

Then press the math button, then >Frac (I think it's the first option). It will then convert the decimal into the lowest fraction possible.

The same goes for expressing percentages... divide by 100 to find the decimal, then use the fraction key to simplify.

you should look in the book that came with it.....i have a casio fx-9750g plus.ive had it for a year now and barely know how to use it becuz i lost the book that came wit it...lol

you might want to read the operator's manual or if you don't have one, search for one on the internet or from the manufacturer.
