BAGHDAD, Iraq - A senior U.S. diplomat said the United States had shown "arrogance" and "stupidity" in Iraq but was now ready to talk with any group except Al-Qaida in Iraq to facilitate national reconciliation.
In an interview with Al-Jazeera television aired late Saturday, Alberto Fernandez, director of public diplomacy in the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs at the State Department offered an unusually candid assessment of America's war in Iraq.

"We tried to do our best but I think there is much room for criticism because, undoubtedly, there was arrogance and there was stupidity from the United States in Iraq," he said

"Abu Mohammed", a pseudonym for the man, appeared to set near impossible conditions for the start of any talks with the Americans, including the return to service of Saddam's armed forces, the annulment of every law adopted since Saddam's ouster, the recognition of insurgent groups as the sole representatives of the Iraqi people

Umm Jessica. Perhaps you should take a look at my other posts. And no, I am NOT an American. But then neither are you!. You see I am from the United States, and because of revisionist history, I was told that I was an American. Not true. You and I and everyone in the United States are just that. From the United States. Canada is part of North America, and the countries of South America own South America. The United States stands alone my friend yourself included. (Take a look at my profile.silly. You as well as millions more in the United States have a lot to learn. Today's young people don't have to pretend anything. We are much smarter than those the age of our parents.

and Jessica? Stop assuming. My parents are no longer alive. They were both killed in an automobile accident less than a year ago. And no, I don't draw a paycheck. I am lucky that my parents taught me to take care of myself, but they also saw to it that I would be taken care of after their untimely deaths. So do yourself a favor. Stop assuming. It's very rude.
(Oh. and I don't eat rice. I leave Rice a Roni to people like you,. all right?).

The best solution is to reinstate Saddam Government under US consultation. Draw an agreement to sustain security and economic cooperatin to ward off any other nations in the gulf to become agressive government (eg. Iran and Libya the last state). In doing so, Israel (another redical state and gorvement) must be tottally cut off form any connection or involvement to these arrangement, because Jews policy is to destroy Islam from the surface of this earth (which is imposible to achieve and its only a dream).

Yep, we will continue to hear about failures, real and imagined, from our friends as well as our enemies. Interesting choice of words, "arrogance", for we have been incredibly reserved and courteous, compare I dare to the English or any other historical conqueror of the land.

The sniping will continue, unfortunately, and the world will lose sight of the fact that there are disruptive and anarchist forces at play to gain advantages, settle old grudges, and continue to stir the cowpile until the stench drives us away. Strangely, if there were but 30 days of complete peace, the US would be out of there a week later. But then they won't have a cover for their sinister acts after we are gone.

Another foreigner pretending to be an American!

Do they pay you in bowls of rice? Or are you drawing a paycheck? I guess you make about 65 cents in USD an hour.

ADDED: I didn't say anything about your parents. My point is that your country is so messed up you should be trying to fix your own problems and not worry about the US.

And until Iraq decides they will take control of their country you will be hearing more of these types of reports.
