I think that a champonship of any type is long overdue in a city that never gives up on its sports.

Buffalo is a long suffering city. Horrible weather, a football team with no championship trophy, collapse of the steel industry, the Adelphia cable promises, the horrible weather, it's a true Northeast rustbelt city with all the dying industry. But, the fans of this region, they never say die. They support, regardless.

This great city deserves a championship, and I hope they can win it all this year. To be able to finally say.... We are the champions. Let's go Buff-a-lo!!!!!!!!!!!

Go Sabres

Go Bills

one last thing.... yearly, the Sabres oldies play a benefit game in my home town.... hope everyone can make it!

They are looking better this year than last. I had my eye on them last year although I do not follow much east coast action since I am on the west coast.
The Sabres have since been on my list this year and I have caught a few games via NHL Center Ice. Now that they are 8-0 (after tonight's stomping), I think they will continue to dominate. Afinigenov (sp.?) is one to watch as well.
Go Sabres!

I've been a fan since I was a young lad growing up in Western New York. One of my earliest memories was seeing a game at the Aud in 1971. I grew up watching the likes of The French Connection, Don Luce, Craig Ramsey, Jerry Korab, etc.

They will undoubtedly have their losses and losing streaks; hopefully it will happen before April or May.

Go Slugs! Oops... Go Sabres!

Watching the Sabres play the past 30 yrs have been GREAT!(started playing hockey and watching them in 76 @ 4yrs old)

the afinagenov, roy, vanek line is pretty scary
not to mention drury (league leader goals @ 9)
OMG MILLER TIME?? oh wait lets put Biron in the pipes!! Both starting golies in the NHL.

it is a long season however Sabres with the slugs on their chest (Iwill love the new logo if we get our teams name on THAT CUP) look like a winner!

LETS GO SABRES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a team built for the new NHL. They are very poised and can't do anything wrong early in the season. They have a very balanced attack and probably the best defense in hockey at this time. The goaltending has been outstanding and I hope they keep Biron as a backup to Miller.

Ain't it sweet!!

I had a dream two nights ago that their winning streak went for 21 games.

By the way, I saw Maxim Afinogenov at Wegman's on Amherst some time ago. Made my day!!

As long as the D holds strong so will Miller. If the forwards can keep their speed the net will be filled. This team will be unstoppable as long as everyone can stay healthy. 110% at taking Lord Stanly.

The same thing I've always thought. They are good but they are not going to win the Cup.
