Pam Grier is 57 years old and very much alive, although she almost did die in 1971 while filming a movie in the Philippines when she contracted a deadly tropical disease, which caused her to lose her hair and go temporarily blind for almost a month. The near-death experience took almost a year for her to recover from. She was also diagnosed with cancer in 1988 and given 18 months to live which has had an effect on how she has chosen to live - her sister died from cancer in 1990.
Ms. Grier did appear in a couple of movies with the word "die" in it: "First to Die" in 2003, and "Never Die Alone" in 2004.
So if that's what you heard, it looks like Ms. Grier is being confused with someone else - or maybe it's her cancer and her sister's death from cancer that is being confused. I wasn't able to find out very much about Ms. Grier's cancer - or the state of her health today; hopefuly she is well.

No Pam Grier didn't die. However, Tamara Dodson who played Cleopatra Jones died on October 2, 2006 in Baltimore, MD in a nursing facility.

Don't take idiots like that seriously. The cases in the US and other parts of the world are recovering and doing fine. The only reason it's so bad in Mexico is because their health care system is terrible. Sanitation seems to be a foreign word there. The child who died in Texas was from Mexico. His death is a terrible thing, but what gets me is that he became sick on April 4 and died on April 27. That tells me that he didn't receive proper care. That tells me his parents were negligent.
