I cannot stand:
1) Girls who use a "baby talk" accent.
2) Guys who mumble, or scream, or sound like they're throwing up while they're singing.
3) Sampled riffs used as an entire melody.
4) A song that has been played 5 or 6 times a day, every day, for the past two months.
5) Bands that sound just like other bands.
6) Anyone who uses gratuitous profanity.
This is why I don't listen to the radio anymore.

Your premise is flawed. I like some metal, but not all. Metallica-style Angsty-12-year-old Metal is pretty boring, and Speed Metal is only fun once. Death Metal is more funny than fun to listen to, and usually gets old quickly. In large part it depends on the performers, and you should also take into account that we all have different definitions of what constitutes "Metal" and the various sub-genres. Personally, I'm a big fan of AC/DC and of course of Ozzy. Zeppelin is usually about as Heavy as I like my Metal, but it depends on the mood. Head-banger stuff and Shriek Metal just leave me cold as a rule, because it seems so stupid. Hair Metal I avoid because I have no hair to flail around. In general, I figure the best performers for most modern varieties of Metal are either Richard Cheese or Hayseed Dixie (take your pick) All that aside, I'll answer some of your questions, because some of them don't inrterest me: 7. Both 8. Depends; both at various times 9. Depends - Wagner, if the guys in the band watched a lot of Warner Bros. cartoons, otherwise, go with blues and rock, since that's where the Founding Fathers of Metal started out. 10. Not really. There are a lot of idiots in the world, so you're going to get all sorts of opinions. 11. Not likely. I suspect he'd be doing ad jingles.

Quality, I want to hear some sweat, blood and tears imprinted in the music (and I don´t mean the band B,S & T). If not, maybe some risks taken at compositional or production level.

I guess i'm the opposite of everyone here, LOL.

I listen to the music first and foremost. If i like the music and it catches my attention.. then i'll listen to the words. BUT... if the words dont catch me.. i'll ignore the song, full stop.

The music has to flow with the words. You cant have one without the other. BUT, the music... is the thing that has to catch my attention first.

the lyrics if they are evil or the over all sound of the instraments and the singer. i like music that is fresh and crunchy if you know what i mean. Somthing like chevell or 30 seconds to mars, or even Deftones sometimes. But some times im in the mood for some headbanging like megadeth metallica or autumn offering. it depends what you like, but jsut keep in mid rap is c(rap)...(crap)

i think it depends on your personality. i like organization and order to be able to follow something and enjoy it and get something out of it, so i like music that's arranged that way. it doesn't matter what kind of music, country, pop, chant, gospel, classical, etc. i think when there's too much noise in any piece of music is when it turns me off (or i turn IT off.) i don't like chaos or crazy crowds or loudness you can't escape. that doesn't just mean i don't like heavy metal, because gospel music or classical music, or ANY music, can become too crowded with notes, words, instruments.... too much is just not enjoyable.

the words, mainly. I'm a singer, so I pay a lot of attention to words in music.

Music must have meaning. REAL meaning not "i can relate to that" meaning. Something that makes you think.

lyrics are huge. and vocals.... even if it sounds good musically, i can't listen to it if i don't like the singing.
also, obviously, whether the musicians can actually play their instruments.
