When I say thread the machine, I don't mean putting the thread through the needle, I mean putting the thread through the entire machine. Thank you.

The needle is usually threaded front to back on a straight stitch sewing machine. I am assuming that you have managed to work out how to thread the machine from the cotton reel down. I know what you mean some of the instructions are very difficult to understand. The bobbin which holds the cotton sometimes drops straight into the bottom of the machine or it can also drop into another case. If it does the latter you need to drop it in and trap the thread into the slit in the bobbin case. When you have done this, push the bobbin case on the spindle and turn it until you hear it lock into place. You will then need to lower your needle and bring it back up and it should bring the bottom cotton up with it. You are then ready to sew. I hope this helps you.

All sewing machines thread differently. You'll need to either have someone physically show you how, or get your hands on the owner's manual.
Not sure what this question has to do with Beauty & Style.
