One night, a few months ago, I was in my bed and it was probably around 4am. There was a voice speaking in my ear, it felt like my ear was buzzing, and I couldn't understand what it was saying. It sounded like a man's voice but I still can't be sure. I remember feeling paralyzed with fear I was so scared!!! No smart remarks like "you're crazy", please!!! Has this ever happened to you? What do you think it is? Is it a dream or a spirit?

This happened to me once, except it was a bunch of voices. I just remember that is was so surreal and scary and I remember being totally paralyzed just like you were. I don't think it is crazy. My family has a long history of psychic encounters and I believe that I had one when this happened. For some reason I knew that I was connected with the other side. I haven't ever really talked about it because a lot people dismiss it as a dream or they think I'm just nuts, but I had a "feeling" that it was real and I think that if you feel the same way then you were contacted by a spirit.

I might ask you; have you been delving into Ouija boards, seance, psychics, or black magic ( witch craft, etc.) ? If you have, (even, a little bit) , please stop it. I am not telling you what to do but advising you. Next; is this the only time that an incidence like this (voice at night) has occurred? I may suggest: first; see a doctor for a physical; next; talk to a psych Dr. to rule out any illness and finally; see a priest, minister or a pastor of a church. Once the potential for any physical or mental illness has be investigated by professionals, the other end of the problem needs to be examined. - which is spirit or demon interference. this is no joke - I know of what I am advising you on. No this has never happened to me (voices) but to some people (some with witnesses) - yes !!! YOU have to stop what YOU are doing wrong [your part] in inviting the demon in to your life, IF YOU ARE ENTERTAINING IT [THEM -DEMONS]. I hope all goes well. Good Luck To you. Happens to me all the time.
It is either your higher self or a spiritual adviser.
The buzzing sound is due to them talking at a much higher frequency as well as fast. I have often questioned what I was being told...this is the reply I used to get all the time, and now just wait.
"You will know, when you need to know"
Another words have you ever came up with a reply on a subject you knew little or nothing about? Or for no apparent reason altered something you usually do in a certain way, such as a travel route to work, etc.?
And no you are not crazy !!! I would venture to say a lot more people experience this but because it is out of the norm are unwilling to talk about it due to things like schizophrenia

No I have had that too once and it was really really really terrifying. I was so scared I felt my blood run cold and if I hear a sound in my bedroom at night it sometimes runs cold again.
I dont know if you are into this but I prayed and not being a Christian at age 16 I didnt know what I was doing. But as I said a prayer and a phrase (and about the only one I could remember from my childhood) that came to mind from the Bible from a famous passage where Jesus says "get the behind me satan". I said it out loud in the dark and the whole experience did stop but I also heard a shriek in my ears before it completely ended, a very very safe feeling afterwards. Its good you couldnt make out what they were saying because in my experience the (spirits I believe) were keeping me awake with their talking and at first I couldnt understand why my so called "thoughts" (which became more like voices as minutes past), kept on coming and coming with no let up and were keeping me awake. Anyhow, whenever this might be about to happen again I pray and God has always kept me safe. I did eventually manage to get to sleep and the experience started off as a dream set in my local park. Then I kind of became conscious in my dream and the characters and sounds seemed really clear and real, then I woke up properly and found that when I first tried to pray my mouth would not open and I had to really force it open. I also felt incredibly scared. I can remember hiding under my covers feeling like something was wrong before I had dreamt. I believe it was spirits and also know that there is a lot of stuff out there that we dont know about and I just personally I find trusting in God works for me. For weeks afterwards I was totally scared to go to sleep in my room or even watch anything scary on tv. It has completely ended my interest in horror movies and Im not even into them to this day!!

Once I heard a voice wailing in my bathroom. It paralyzed me with fear, and my cats heard it too. They were completely freaked out! But if it happens again I'm seriously going to a psychologist or psychiatrist. Pretty much everybody has had schizophrenia in a distant relative at some time. Not saying your crazy, but when you completely rule out the idea that it could happen to you, you are going down a dangerous road. It's genetic, you can't help it.
But personally I think that it is possible for the barriers between worlds to get a little thinner sometimes. And one of the senses kind of sees through the mesh, or hears through it.

I have had this happen to me a few times. But never whispers. The first time it happened it was very clear because it woke me up. A woman's voice said my name and it woke me right out a nap I was having. I had thought it was my wife at the time, but there was no way it could have been.
The other times it, as I have said it makes me wake up immediately because it is something I hear, not something in a dream.
As to what I think it is....well.....I am not sure

Its interesting that you said it made a buzzing sound. Spritualists say that spirits live in another dimension a dimension that moves more rapid than ours. The sounds from beings in this dimension are high pitched resembling a "buzzing" or ringing.
I think that people are starting to realize the existence of life in these parallel dimensions ...It's never happened to me but I know 2 other (very sane) people that actually hear such voices and communications

Ok, now this probably relates to childhood. What you need to do is relax. put on some lovely music and have a sing song. Phone friends and speak to them, relax. Make sure you are constanlty being around people, maybe move in with a friend, someone who you are comfy with so you are calm so someone can eassure you when things seem bad. put on music when you go to sleep leeve it on, if you have an ipod put on a sleep timer for a couple of hours. Secondly you really need to seek help, if these methods aren't working at all try and get help. I know it sounds harsh but its much better being happy. Also get some adrenaline running, keep active keep in public places where you feel safe to reassure yourself make sure you go with friends at first. Speak to them and let them comfort you. Do daily activities and change the routines regularly.

when i was about 6 or 7 a couple times i heard what sounded like childrens voices coming from the closet. but they were overlapping and i couldn't make them out. Although i was never sure if i was really hearing voices or was just hearing noises or dreaming Hope you dont have any more scary moments like that

Yes. The male voice called my name very softly at first. I didn't think I was hearing right, then the voice called my name a little louder. Then the third time the voice yelled my name and I was quite awake by that point. I didn't hear anything after that and I kept trying to decipher whose voice it was. It was my father in laws voice calling out to me. He has passed on a few weeks earlier and I think he was just letting me know he was around and doing ok. After that it didn't scare me anymore.
