No for the exception of maybe marijuana. Marijuana has some positive side effects for the cancer patients. But that would be the only one.

You don't think that drugs are bad just look at this.

OMG, the horror!
I had some dude arguing that his daughter overdosed on herion.
They fact is if herion was legal, his daughter would still be alive to this day.
When you make a drug illegal the danger of that drug goes up. That's because your getting your drugs from some dude who is probably high already not knowing what he's doing. A herion addict can recieve 40% pure herion and think they got ripped off. Then the next day they can get 100% pure herion and overdose on the drug. If drugs were legal, people who are addicted to the drug, can go to a doctor. The doctor can evaluate if you are truely addicted to the drug and offer you a perscription for that drug and it will always be gaurenteed that the drug will stay at what level of herion you need.
I'm not going to deny that if drugs were legal that there will be less use. You can keep giving anti-drug ads and telling people that doing it is a risk and very harmful. But treating ppl who make those mistakes, like scum and throwing them in jail, having them go through detoxification which is very deadly, is not going to help. Making drugs illegal is going to cause even more curiosity in humans.
Those types of drugs should be used in that way. As for drugs like marijuana, they should be sold just like alcohol. Saying that they shouldn't infrindges on individual rights as adults to be able to choose what they want to do with their lives.

Yes they should.
90% of the crime now associated with drugs, drug use, and drug abuse would go away.
The law is NOT the way to deal with a health problem, it only makes things worse.
The "war on drugs" was responsible for more abuse of citizens rights than any other cause (until the Bush administration showed how destruction of rights is REALLY done).

They are - they're called pharmaceutical companies.
The argument against street drugs is that they aren't safe. But pharmaceutical companies experiment on people all the time without their knowledge and your doctor gets paid to give you the drugs. They're called blind and double blind studies. They're no more safe then "street" drugs, but hey, they have to test them on someone.

Wrong question.
The right question is "What business is it of yours what someone else wants to put into THEIR body?"
It just ain't nobody's business.
PARTICULARLY not the federal government's.
By the way, if this concept seems alien to you, it used to be called "Liberty".
