try to be close to them by starting up a conversation...smile at them, with a sweet little hi & introduction of yourself...sharing interests & some cool stories (stuff like that)...
but, be careful in choosing friends, not all people can be trusted....
also, exchange numbers to maintain connection & communication to them... goodluck :)
