There are many ways to deal with the situation. Chapped lips is very common during the seasonal changes between autumn to winter and winter to spring along with all the seasonl allergies, sinusitis, the flu, common colds, hay fevers, ect. There are many creams you can use such as lotions, chapsticks with aloe and vitamin E which may help the problem but I do not recommend the products. Pure Vitamin E from the capsules work very well on most dry and chapped lips. The Vitamin E restores and replenishes the moisture needed for the lips. You can purchase these liquid capsules at any store that sells vitamins. Wal mart for example, GNC, Vitamin World, ect. Now there are diseases that cause drying of the lips and chapping so make sure that your condition is really chapped lips becuase herpes virus, vitamin B5 deficiency, scurvy, and others can cause driness of the mouth and/or dry lips. Another great remedy is Aloe Vera. This is simply liquid gel from an Aloe Vera plant. It's a clear liquid, and mainly companies manufacture this into alot of things like chapsitck, soaps, shampoos, conditioners, hand lotions, even toilet paper. What you would need is pure aloe vera. This comes in a tube at any store again that sells vitamins like Vitamin world has a great stock of Aloe Vera. Make sure it says 100% on it and no color added, this defeats the purpose of it. Also to take care of it reoccuring, you might want to rub a thin layer of neosporin or any antibodic ointment on your lips after applying the vitamin E and/or Aloe vera. This helps prevent infection and the reoccurence of the drieness and chapping. Good luck to you and i'm glad i could help.

a million) Hydration. Drink truly some water, because chapped lips are commonly an illustration of inner dehydration. believe me - you should use as a lot lip balm as you want, yet you received't get sufficient effects until eventually your body is hydrated. 2) Exfoliating. in case you take advantage of an exfoliating scrub, apply it for your lips besides. otherwise, make your human being with such issues as sugar + honey or oats + honey. 3) Lip balm. seem for an fairly hydrating lip balm, and not in any respect those ChapStick or Bonne Bell issues. I advise an certainly lip balm. also, if the air round you is often dry, this can make concerns worse. in basic terms be particular to continually drink truly some water and do not lick your lips. Oh and vaseline doesn't somewhat hydrate the lips. this is no longer even able to penetrating your pores and skin. It in basic terms seals IN moisture, so if you're lacking perfect moisture in the first position, vaseline will in difficulty-free words finally end up being a short lived (imagine at the same time as this is on and probable for some hours later) fix.

1 1/2 ounces beeswax
1 ounce honey
2 ounces olive oil
Melt the beeswax over hot water using a double boiler. Stir in the honey and beat in the olive oil. Continue stirring until cool. Put in a wide mouth jar. Apply to lips as needed.
Avoid using chapstick or anything containing petroleum products. If you want a ready made formula, try Burt's Bees -- it's available at most health food stores or online at www.burtsbees.com

I usually mix a little bit of honey and sugar together until it is thick. Then i rub it on my lips for a few minutes. It works pretty well. The honey will make your lips smooth and the sugar exfoliates and takes away the dead skin.I do it at least once a week, but ur lips will feel and look 100% better after you do that.

You can put olive oil, canola oil, coconut oil, etc on your lips...It works pretty fast. I don't know of anything for the pain. You can probably also try an OTC canker sore balm. Some have a pain releiver in them and the promote a faster healing as well since yours are painful and cracked.

Vitamin E is great. It is an oil so your best bet is to go buy a chapstick with aloe and vitamin E in it and use it all the time, especially before bed. If you make this a habit you will have great lips your whole life.

I agree with drinking a lot of water. I have tried everything on the market and nothing worked until I found Blistex's Lip Infusion. It's very cooling and you don't smear it on, you dab it. I use it twice, sometimes three times a day and it helps me a lot. If you can't find it at your local walmart and have access to ordering online, drugstore.com has it. Mine ran out so I bought like 13 of them and stocked up on em.

My dad used to say put chicken sh*t on them... at least you won't be licking your lips anymore. How about a little chapstick or a light layer of Vaseline? I know it's "nasty" but you're lips don't sound like they feel or look all that nice. Sounds like you might need a lip mask if you have money to spare.
