I would think that only problems she would encounter would be the same problems any other couple would have. Age is unimportant and four years is barely a difference at all.

I'll be honest with u.....I experienced exactly what ur going through....if u really are.....I usually go out w/ men a few yrs older than me but this time I lied becuz he was younger...well after we got married...like 2 1/2 yrs into our marriage..he found out i was older...I think when a woman marries younger she feels a little insecure he'll wan't younger..Also ur not trying to be anyones mother and the younger ones can sometimes act immature....so all of those things cause problems for the relationship. But if none of those r a problem than don't worry.

My darling Hubby is nearly 6 years younger than I and we've been married nearly 10 years.

Just remember - there are always differences to overcome in a marriage- no matter what your age or his. Rather than looking at his chronological age - place more emphasis on his maturity level, sense of responsibility, how he cares for himself and his finances and how he treats his mother and the other women in his life (sisters, friends, co-workers and even ex-girlfriends).

Prior to meeting my Hubby - I was engaged to a man 2-3 years older than I was. However - when it came to the above characteristics - he didn't score anywhere near his chronological age. (At nearly 30 years of age, he relied on parents to pay his bills and keep a roof over his head, couldn't/wouldn't hold a job and was in debt to his eyballs...)

Just after I became engaged to my hubby - someone told me "Women should marry men 5-7 years younger than themselves. Women need the physical strength of the younger man and men need the wisdom of the older woman."

So - look less at the age and more at the man himself.

Best wishes to you!

There shouldn't be any problems regarding the age difference because the gap of 4 years is too narrow to matter.

It depends on your age, if you are 20 or younger I'd say there might be problems. My husband is four years younger than me and we are very happy.

The age difference is nothing. Just love. Why are you looking for problems?

Unless she is 18, probably no more than anyone else.

That really isn't a big age difference at all.
