Everyone forgets my birthday, every year! It falls just short of Christmas, during that last minute, mad rush time when everyone is buying last minute Christmas presents and planning dinner, so I guess it is understandable. It hurt my feelings when I was a child, but the older I get, the better I like it. After all, if no one remembers my birthday, then they won't remember my age!!

My boyfriend lived with his dad and all of his aunts and uncles lived nextdoor (literally, right next door). They forgot his birthday the year before as well, but for that year I had brought over birthday cake....they came over....ATE THE CAKE.....and still didn't remember.
They played it off as no big deal, and that my boyfriend shouldnt be so materialistic, when he didn't want presents, just a simple happy birthday.

Try Mother's Day, my husband made a point of calling his mother and my mother, and having our twin sons wishing each grandmother a "Happy Mother's Day". Then I asked, "Is that all?"
Blank stares. Again, "Is that all?" Still blank stares. "Well, happy Mother's Day to me." They ran out to the store, but the damage was already done.
