Are you talking about Prom? Yes, it would be nice if the guy bought the corsage. It is traditional for the guy to buy the corsage. However, if he is strapped for cash, and you want a nice one...maybe you should offer to pay. That way you get what you want.

who would want to wear a corsage, anyway? sure, they make you really shapely. but they also squish the daylights out of your internal organs. i would rather wear raw oysters...lots and lots of raw oysters...
