people become rich by thinking everything they see belongs to them. fair play and honesty has nothing to do with it.

As a doctor, he knows how unhealthy bratwursts can be. He was just trying to spare his coworkers some heart disease.
Also...bratwursts can be used for certain sex games that I would rather not go into detail about....does this doctor strike you as the 'uptight at work but kinky in the bedroom' type? He may have been killing two birds with one stone.

A few plausible semi-scenarios may explain this
1. He is training for an eating contest
2. Some ground breaking post-med research required them
3. He donated them to the homeless for a tax write off ( how do you think he became a multi-millionaire?
4. With his exacting and perceptive highly trained medical eye he could tell that those fifteen he had taken they were toxic and/or carrying some type of plague
5. A total lack of common sense and respect for others which seems to happen oft times with PhD types

Of course Greed comes to mind, and arrogance, but I also think that there is some logic or reasoning that is missing since he is a doctor and must be good at it to be in the high digit income bracket, he has got to be educated enough to have social skills and etiquette somewhere in his bag of knowledge.How else could he deem himself at liberty or justified by this? It doesn't make sense without there being more to it. that we don't know about.
If it's a matter of him not having a clue, then it's pretty sad.

Some people are really just that inconsiderate, unfortunately. Sounded like he just really, really liked bratwurst and did not stop to think that maybe others liked them too.

Hm... I don't know his actual motives but maybe he likes bratwursts or maybe he thought, "I'm worth more than them; I should get more."
And, yes, one bad apple does spoil it for everyone sometimes...

If the doctor was a man then that explains it...they don't think of others. My bf never considers others when he cranks up his music but if a neighbour does the same thing ....well, he'll go on and on about it.
