Do you know how long your luteal phase lasts? In most women, it is a very fixed number of days. The luteal phase is the time between ovulation and the first day of the period. For instance, my periods are varied and range from 28 days to 40 days, but my luteal phase is always exactly 12 days. Most women have LPs between 10-14 days, and if you fall into that group, you are late for your period and very well may be pregnant. The only other thing may be that you did not ovulate that day, but ovulated later (due to stress, illness, dietary changes, etc.). If you ovulated later, you period will occur later. If you did O on the 6th, it would probably show up on an early detection test now, so I'd say head out to Walgreen's and find out for sure! Good luck.
