this woman contacted my fiance two months ago and told him she has a child and is his. she wanted him to relinquish his parental rights because she was going to marry some dude. now his engagement has falling thru the rock and she sent an email saying he can forget about it. obviously we can so my question is, what do we do now? lawyers said she lives in a different state therefore legal aid from another state will be needed. so basically now we need to have proof that child exists...but how?

I am not quite understanding...are you saying that you want to find the child so that you two can see the child and have rights, or are you saying that she is demanding that he fork out cash to support the child?

Does he remember sleeping with this girl? If he knows this girl, it would be quite easy to get someone (lawyer, private investigator) to look up her first and last name, and see if she has any offspring. That should prove that a child of hers does exist. Then, getting a paternity test is in order.

If he saved the emails, he can trace them back to her in court, proving that there is probable cause to believe the child is his.

Get a good lawyer, find the facts, and move forward with whatever you need to do.

Find a GOOD lawyer and tell him the whole story but do it in a way he/she can understand because your written English is appalling and makes little sense.
