I had mine done by a professor of urology for $800. He did it in a hospital ambulatory unit. No hospital O.R. fees. Local blend of mepivacaine & lidocaine was used. I demanded that, I wanted LONG-LASTING ANESTHETIC. and the Mepivacaine numbed me way into the night. Licodaine gets it off to a fast start for numbness & the mepivacaine takes over for HOURS & HOURS. Lidocaine alone is not enough.
I drew my own markings with a pen to show exactly where & how much to cut off. he did as I asked. I had much swelling over 3 weeks time. Soreness but not pain itself. I was delighted by the results. Years later skin stretched out - since I didn't have enough taken off first time. I redid with a plasticsurgeon. I'm content now.
You can actually find certain urologists ho SPECIALIZE IN CIRCUMCISIONS, they are out there. they will do you nicely.
Find a urologist who does a lot of penis surgery including tons of circumcisions. Go for it!! Best of luck. choose your doctor carefully.

The American Medical Association and the American Association of Paediatrics both agree - routine circumcision is unnecessary. The only medical indicator is for children under 1 year old, where there is a slight decrease in urinary tract infections if the child is circumcised. The difference is small enough that the medical assocations state that this risk in itself is insufficient to recommend circumcision.
The transmission of STDs in adults is not impacted by circumcision - the rates are the same for both cut and uncut men. One Australian researcher has found that men who are circumcised have a slightly lower risk of HIV infection when studying men having unprotected sex with HIV infected partners. The difference was small, and since all men should use condoms to prevent HIV infection in any case, this is also not a good reason for circumcision.
Adults who are circumcised note a general decrease in sensitivity. Some report that after circumcision, they are no longer able to climax during sex, and have to finish off by hand. The reason is the loss of thousands of nerve endings from the foreskin. While men who have never had a foreskin don't miss it, men who had one and were circumcised generally report a lower level of satisfaction with their sex lives.
Another problem is once the head of the penis is permanently exposed, it develops a layer of protective keratin. This is a type of skin cell with no nerve endings; so once again, this reduces sensitivity.
My advice would be - unless you have a severe defect where circumcision is the only option, or unless your religion requires it, do not get circumcised.
If after all that you still want to do it, you should just consult your doctor. Since it is elective surgery, you will have to pay - it should be less than $3,000, since it is essentially an out-patient treatment.

Well, I know you said not to tell you, but I don't think you should. I've seen too many circumcisions (I work in a hospital) and it makes my stomach turn because it is so painful to those poor babies.
But I guess if you're an adult, it's your decision. You most likely will notice some sensitivity loss sexually. However, since you're an adult, at least your surgeon will give you pain medicine.
You should contact an adult urologist for a surgical referral. Most urologist will do it for you.
Have you seen this video: http://intact.ca/vidphil.htm . It's just sad.
But good luck to you!

You can do it yourself if you can tolerate a moderate amount of pain. Otherwise go to a general surgeon and with local anesthetic it will cost you about $300 to $400.
There is more info on adult circumcision on webmd.com

see a urologist. the cost will be in the range of $6,000-$8,000.
if you are seeking circumcision for medical reasons, your medical insurance SHOULD cover the cost.
good luck!
