It's Greek. But I just learned something today. The Hebrew term that's translated "soul" in Genesis 2 is translated "living creatures" in Genesis 1. Also, notice that in that account "man Became a living soul," not, "man was Given a living soul."
In summary, "having a soul" is a pagan idea, around which "pop Christianity" has invented a whole system of suppositions that just aren't Biblical. As a result, Christianity has a lot of enemies who, if they only knew, are not opposed to actual Bible teachings at all!

From the book of the God which desrcibes event millions of years back and millionsof years forward. Although bible also gives some details, but undoubdtedly Quran is the best. The reaon being it is protected in its original language for alst 1450 years. See, the trnalsations may cause lot of fabrications. But languages get aged and get obsolete. But the God as promised in Quran prevented that in case of Quran. So Quran is dust and rust free and it is as fresh today as 1450years back, a lviing miracle with no parallel example. ]
Qurna tells us that the God Created souls and He then asked that isn't He the Lord and there are no partners to Him. All souls said so so He told them to not to come up with excuse that a messanger did nto tell them. Therefore taking partners to the God e.g. takihg Jesus or Mary or any other man, animal, statues is the gravest sin. Unfortaunatly many Christians are following the doctrines of Paul who was the biggest enemy of Jesus and who invented persoanlity worship o Jesus to kill the message of Jesus.
