I do, I was just wondering how many other people do and if it's to obscure of a referance to use in normal conversation.

It is a remedy for all diseases and/or ills or difficulties, a cure-all, a silver bullet. I would use it. Don't dumb-down your conversation. Be proud of your vocabulary!

Panacea means a remedy for all diseases or a solution to all problems. It is not uncommon to find the word used in normal conversations.

It means a cure-all, but it is also a Greek Goddess.
In Greek mythology, Panaceia, or Πανάκεια (Latin Panacea), was the goddess of healing. She was the daughter of Asclepius, god of healing and medicine, and the granddaughter of Apollo, god of healing. She had three sisters, Iaso, Aceso, and Aglæa/Ægle (the goddess of splendor). Through her father she bore a daughter (and step-sister) named Hygeia. Together, Panacea, Iaso, and Hygeia helped the sick and diseased to health, as Panacea was the goddess of healing and cures (see etymology), Iaso was the goddess of recovery, and Hygeia was the goddess of welfare and prevention of disease.

Yes, I know what it means. Whether it is too obsure of a reference, it would depend on whom you are speaking to. Generally, I do not think that it is too obscure to use.

That would depend on who you hang out with. I wouldn't try it on a construction crew, or waiting in line for Jerry Springer tickets.
