Why doesn't the International criminal court Charge Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld with institution of a War of Agression, Crimes against humanity (the tourture polotics) and general war crimes (mistreatment of POW's)

Tourtue is the most cowardly thing a nation can do.
The Nazi's did it, the Soviots did it, al quida does it, and we do it.

Only cowards defend tourture.

The US does not recognise the ICC.
They said they would, but only if the US military was exempted from any charges.(Wonder why that was?)
Anyway, why bother with charging them?Just round them up and hold them without charge and without access to legal representation.
Sorry that would be illegal.
Guantanomo Bay anyone?

The US does not recognize "The World Court", purposely
for that reason. At the time Bush said that he did not want an International court having any jurisdiction over US citizens. This was a cop out as the condition set by the Court was that the country the offender belonged to would have the prime responcibility to try the person. If they did not, then The Court would get involved. This way those in charge will not stand trial. If any other nation committed the torture that the US has either committed or caused to be committed by other nations e.g. Poland, Egypt among others, they would stand trial. Not only is the US violating Geneva Conventions, but Nurenberg is coming back and will haunt the US as one of the german defendents said it would.

The people of the US only voted for Bush once and I think that was because of the war in Iraq. The first time he won by the Electoral College vote and lost the popular vote. I think this is a complex issue and some are thinking Germany filed a court action but they did not. It was an organization of Lawyers in Germany similar to the ACLU that filed a case in German court not so much on a general basis but because they tortured a German citizen, mistaking him for someone else. They didn't let him go right away when they found out and then later just let him off alongside the road from what I have read. So these people are representing him in court. It has nothing to do with the present administration whatsoever But solely about Bush and his administration and others involved with the apprehension of this man which was not rightful.

Because no matter how ignorant our Pres is, our country is still one of the most powerful countries in the world. I think that Dave Chapelle (impersonating Bush) had it best when he said it to the UN:

"You know what you should do, you should sanction me, sanction me with your army. Ooh! Wait a minute! You don't have an army! I guess that means you need to shut the f*** up!"

And that is EXACTLY what Bush says to the UN, and what he would say to the ICC...

We have a lot to loose if we do not play by their rules.
They are fighting among each other for thousands of years now it is spilling over into america and other countries. They should do what they have to do to protect you and me.

Because the ICJ is a European body to which the United states has not consented to offer recognition. The UN is the only recognized international ombudsman.

Additionally, they won't be charged with any war crimes because they haven't committed any.

It usually takes a little time.
The United States will be held accountable for what the Republicans have done. The world has contempt for us because we voted for the evil doer twice.
We need word to get out that Bush was put in by judges. The most votes went to a Democrat.

Some day I'm sure the world will condemn this administration. I already do. They are the worst, most evil ever to rule in the US. The country will pay for their sins for a long, long time.

The ICC is the Interstate Commerce Commission and I don't think that they have the jurisdiction. Only idiots give rights to rabid dogs.
