The currency act sais that anything is legal tender if both parties agree upon it. So couldent you give someone a counterfeit note and if they take it isent it legal tender? And what would you get charged with? Dosent the counterfeit law only apply to Canadian currency?

None of you are answering the question. Is it a crime for example to print counterfeit Euro Dollars in the United States? If so, what branch of the government would prosecute? You re all getting hung up on the moral implications. It s a straight-forward question. Counterfeiting US currency is a very gray area in Canada, for example. The most insidious counterfeit US currency is printed in Canada. I m writing a crime story and need specific answers.

It is illegal to counterfeit any countries currency in any country. Did you intend to place this question in Riddles and Jokes????
No two parties are going to agree on accepting something that is worthless for currency, I don't care what any law or act says the illegality supercedes anything else.
I hope that you are much more intelligent than this question implies or you are going to have a difficult time in life. Have a good night.
