IF this is due to a death in the family then the best thing to do is to contact the Social Security Administration and tell them of the death and the location of the birth etc and they can track down the # here is the link for you

Unless he has passed away and you are a direct relative it will likely be impossible to get this information legally.

If this is the case, call 1-800-206-7218 and hit 0 to speak to an agent to see what documents you need. (Employment insurance is where you are calling)

IF YOU KNOW HIS BIRTH PLACE AND IF HE IS DEAD, HIS LAST PLACE OF RESIDENCE, YOU CAN LOOK IT UP THROUGH SOCIAL SECURITY ON THE INTERNET. DOES ANYONE THINK THE WORD THROUGH IS SPELLED WRONG?
