We live in that Future now.
Honestly though, people are already genetically predisposed to select certain traits from a mate. Height, smarts, looks, big penis, big boobs, sturdy frame, straight teeth, all of their hair, etc.
While we assume that we "choose" we don't really. Did you know that it's taken 1 billion couples to make you in over 6000 years? 1 billion. And in that you and I are related somewhere in there.
If you ever want a good read on the subject, "Short History of Nearly Everything" by Bill Bryson is an excellent book.

they already exhist, they're called celeberties
but really, the smart and good looking, could spend too much money on drugs, which then make them stupid, and poor
so there's no guarentee they will last.
and the stupid, poor and ugly, could win the lottery and instantly become rich, get plastic surgery, and be less ugly
healthy, smart people should procreate with other healthy, smart individuals, and therefore have smart, healthy babies. It's not rocket science.
It's sad that crack heads get knocked up, and their child is born into poverty, and not healthy due to the lack of the parents health. It's a vicious cycle.

They bred certain characteristics for house servants, some for field hands, and some for sports, and they had competition with them just like we do today with dogs, horses, and 4H livestock.

I think it is sad when we can't appreciate all people. I personally adopted 2 educably slow and I find them interesting, intertaining, and quit fulfilling. I love them for their differences and feel sorry for people who think intelligence and beauty is what life is about.

No---I do not believe that will ever happen. Simply because we could NEVER agree on who is going to decide "who" or "what is" good-looking or intelligent.
