it could be your computer is bogged down with stuff or norton isnt working correctly. i would suggest you do the disk compression and try again

it depends on how much you have to scan. To give you something to judge by, my computer has roughly 150,000 files and Norton scans it in about 30-45 minutes. If you have 4 times as many files it will take nearly 4 times as long.

Because Norton is full of bugs. I recommend you get a better spyware/virus scan. Or perhaps because you need to defragment your hard drive.

norton is full of bugs..and i dunt like it cuz its a system hog..and its probably cuz u got too much junk on ur computer. I think u should use AVG..u can get it for free. Good luck

cuz u got losts of crap on it, i do too and it usually takes 45 mins like you said so maybe its something else, try to re install norton or see if you can fix it by going to the set programs access and defaults.
