If dragons do exist, where are they?

Some people believe that the dragons were killed in the great flood that covered the world (and no, I don't mean the one that has noah in it).

Dragons could have been invented by ancient man to explain the dinosaur bones and foot prints they found.

Dragons do exist, but have to hide to keep from being destroyed. If you find them, please tell me where so that I may go and be with them.

There is no proof that dragons, as in the sort from mythology, exist. However, there are theories about places there could still be species that were seen as dragons. The most famous examples are sea serpents, which are still seen today. The swamps of West Africa are also rather inaccessable, and could have some unknown large reptile species in them.

The links below are a background page on a few historic serpent sightings, and some news stories about modern dragon hunters.

As an additional note, the various documentaries on Animal Planet and the like about dragons are not proof. They're completely fictional and presented in documentary style for the effect. They did not really find dragon fossils or anything like that. Enjoy them, but don't take them seriously.

Dragons do not exist, however, there is scientific proof that there was ONCE dragons. I was watching about it on Animal Planet a year ago.

It is said that dragons first came to earth around the time of the dinosaurs. And were died out around the 15th century or 16th. Somewhere around there.

Why do you think that so many cultures came up with the idea for a dragon from different times and different places around the globe?

That is what intrigues me to the max.

depends upon your view of a dragon. A basilisk or other words the Jesus Lizard is considered a dragon but one of those large fire breathing treasure protecting ones, not a chance.
Blessed Be.

Not on Earth.

No one knows whether or not they exist on other planets. The laws of physics show that a flying, fire-breathing lizard is plausible, especially in other environments such as worlds with weaker gravity.

Komodo dragons exist on Komodo island, Indonesia.

They are just big lizards, though. Look like monitor lizards. No flying or fire-breathing.

Yes, but they aren't what you think they are.
Mortal beings were created by taking voluntary angels and seperating their spirits from their minds from their bodies, and their bodies became mortal, with access to their minds and somewhat of access to their spirits. Over thousands of years of experience, some mortals became knowledgable and powerful enough to recontact and re-merge with their minds and their spirits, becoming immortal again. Becoming dragons. Some stayed on earth and experiemented with changing forms, some of the most intense being dinosauric, and some getting caught in that form and persecuted by humans. Some cooperated to create a real realm only accessable by dragons......they influenced Chinese culture for many hundreds of years. But most dragons understood humanity very well right from the start, and since their bodies were no longer subject to damage, they left Earth.

The ones that stayed on Earth we hunted out of existence, just like the mamoths and the dodos. (We didn't kill them, but repeated coma-s from exsanguination is no trip in the park).

Yes, they're called dinosaurs. Do you think it is any accident that legendary drangons look so much like what we belive dinosaurs looked like. As far as firebreathing there are many substances that spontaneously combust upon exposure to oxygen and it may be possible that certain glands or bacteria living in lung or throat tissue could produce the chemicals.

Nope.

And while we're here. Santa, Eastern bunnies, pot's of gold at the end of rainbows, unicorns and flying horses don't exsist either.
