Congratulations!!

My suggestion would be to fix yourself a snack that is based on salmon (if you like it) or tuna (if you don't like salmon). These fish - both high in omega 3 fatty acids, provide nutrients that help the body satisfy the cravings that the cigarettes used to satisfy.

3 times a week, fix yourself 5-minute oatmeal for breakfast or use 1/2 cup of oatmeal as a bread replacement in a recipe (if you don't like oatmeal).

Also snacks that may help are almonds, soy nuts and sunflower seeds.

Congrats. Smoking sucks, I want to quit too.

I quit once (for 12 years...). I remember what I had to do was NOT THINK ABOUT IT. It took a lot of discipline, but I did it ok.

It's like a break-up with someone. The only way to get over it is to stop thinking about the situation.

But then, I still smoke, so don't listen to me... :-/

Love Jack

I quit on July 12th, so it has been over 3 months now. I smoked for 27 years. I used nicorette gums this time. ( I tried everything before and once quit for 8 months), Try going out for nice walks in nature if you can... Drink lot of water.... You can do it...
Good luck

Exercise...including power walking and stuff.

You need to burn off the excess energy. It will really help in so many ways.

The patch is just a crutch for a short while. If you start exercising, I promise it will be easier.

God, I feel for you. I've tried it a few times, but it seems that every time I do, something really crappy comes up in life and the stress level goes through the roof, and I gotta have one to calm me down (I know it doesn't really calm you down, but rather stimulates you, but I don't care. It's all in the mind, right?) I hope you stick with it.

try getting a membership at a local gym or YMCA, it's great for your health and you can't smoke there.
Best of Luck to you!!

keep doing what has worked these two days. don't use any form of negative/punishment methods to take the place of a cig. i quit twenty years ago, so can you. have faith in yourself!
