Patience is the number one key to becoming a successful fashion designer. Many are called, but few are chosen. It's good to know several crafts, but know what your strengths are and focus on them. Don't focus on your weakness. If sewing is not your strength, that's okay, because you can have someone do that for you. Focus on your drawing and designing skills. Find a good school. Consider every opportunity as a stepping stone. You can't be a top designer over night. It's a process that involves discipline and hard work and a lot of luck. Having said that, good luck to you!

ohh! yes
one need not be a designer to guide u i guess
i m a model
ive seen many designers.
the thing is that u must be completely devoted to the field
and it is not an option 4 time pass
creativity is indispensible
art and artistic skills r necessary
u must have tonns and tonns of patience
think the profession as ur sleep and food
good luck anyways!

im going to be....
start doing art class so you could scetch your designs
start getting more and more fabrics and follow your designs
it will also help if you go to a fashion school.
start by doing something easy and then challenge yourself.
Make clothes for yourself andask your friends if they would like an outfit.
maybe they will choose everythin and you will make it or it will be random..
Also get a sweing machine and take sewing classes.

try sketching out some simple designs. then get some fabric and try to make it on a sewing machine. then if you mess up try again until you get it right. start small and then make better more challenging things. sooner or later you'll get really good. practice alot and dont give up if it seems to be getting to hard. never give up and follow your dreams. :)

Be patient Learn your craft. Go with your instincts. Follow your nose. Make connections. "See" what you are thinking. Take a risk. Use color, even when you don't. Learn by observation. Grow by perspiration.
