hey my friend got shot in the leg 1day ago...and i was wondering how long do you have to be in the hospital after being shot..? can u really get shot in the calf, and then leave the hospital a day later??

yes you can leave the hospital the next day....the calf is actually not a bad place to get shot it is mostly muscle so most likely the bullet went through the muscle and didnt hit an artery or anything like that......if it broke the leg that is easily fixed......they will more than likely bandage the wound tell him how to take care of it and schedule a follow up visit and put him on antibiotics......

I was shot in the upper part of my leg several years ago with a 57 mag. hollow point and only stayed three days. Of course I was lucky in a way because the bullet went all the way thru and the doctor said I was lucky because I was fat since it would have blown off my leg if not, or at least shattered it.

i dont know who that first girl thinks she is sayin, but itz wrong. my cousin was shot in the calf and died from blood loss.
i dont know about the leg, but i got shot in the shoulder (i live in israel, this happens), and i only had to stay overnight.

It depends on how serious the wound is, and how long it takes the police to question you about the shooter...
