Precise nouns are exact names for things. For example...a blouse would be a precise noun for clothing... Steak would be a precise noun for meat...get it?

It's a noun. 100% the same as english word "medicine" in the following meaning: the treatment and study of illnesses and injuries. "Does it also refer to chemical substances intended to heal illness, like antibiotics?" No, we call it -- Лекарство, лекарства (plural) or Медикаменты (only plural) Лекарсто means таблетки, микстуры, травяные настойки (принимаемые в лечебных целях) etc The term "медикаменты" probs more formal, sounds quite official. We don't use it too often in the speech.
