ok my gf and me have been getting harassed by her ex somehow he got my address and name from a cell phone company i'd like to know if theres a way to sue the phone company for givin out my info to this guy all he orginally had was my phone # cause i called him and told him to leave her alone

he's been drivin by my place checking out my apt sending her text messages ect... i've already filed harrassment on him any other suggestions other then me gettin a gun and shootin him if he comes to my door

Don't do anything impulsive. Let your girlfriend explain to him, if necessary, that she's over him. But make sure you are standing close by because this guy seems a little crazy and obsessed. He may harm her.
You can't sue the telephone company because there isn't concrete evidence that the company disclosed your personal particulars to him.
When he harrasses you or your girlfriend, just let him do so. Let the evidence accumulate and then report to the police. This guy seems desperate in tracking you down, so it's quite definite that he's crazy. He may do even more drastic things if you call him back retaliate.

You can't sue based on hearsay.
And if you were stupid enough to call him with out blocking your phone number (*67), you learn from you mistakes.
Call the cops and file a report if you feel threatened.

Tell him to leave her alone or he will be dealing with you.
YOu will gain her respect, plus his. IF you fail you will loose
hers. You never had his.
