Birth control helps some people. Have you tried loading up on midol a week before you start? It takes a while to build up to a theraputic level, so try that. Drink lots of water, and avoid salt and caffiene, which can worsen menstral symptoms. Also get some of the heat wraps made by Thermacare. I couldn't get out of bed until I found those. Exercising also helps. So can calcium, black cohosh root (found at vitamin stores), and a multivitamin. If all else fails, go to your MD. You may have a menstral disorder that requires medical intervention (they actually have procedures that can help).

Try Aleve (also known as Naproxen Sodium)... found in the pain reliever aisle near the Tylenol.
You may also want to see your Ob/Gyn... make sure it's not something like endometriosis (which they do have treatments for to help ease the pain). He may prescribe a b/c pill which has also been shown to help ease menstrual symptoms.

Many women find that sexual intercourse actually helps to relieve period pains and menstrual cramps. This is because an orgasm can cause your uterus to contract, enabling it to use up excess prostaglandins in the process. Prostagladins are hormones produced by your uterine lining. They help to stimulate contractions that move menstrual blood out of the uterus, and are also responsible for those cramps that occur throughout your period.

ALEVE. It used to be a prescription, known as Naproxen. If it says take 1, that is the over-the-counter dosage. Prescription strength dosage is 2, every 4 hours. My sister lived with this pain for years, before finding Aleve. She doesn't know how she lived without it.
STOP THE PAIN ! !

you seem to have tried many pain killers (not sure about all those you mentioned, I am not American). I know how it feels: been there and done that too. If they don't help an anticonception pill might work. (it did for me). If you dont want to take those, ask your dr for a low dose muscle relaxing pill. A low dose of valium did wonders for me!
Good luck from Holland!

Ibuprofen. It's found in all drug stores. Works like a charm. Plain and simple.
