Yes. I would think so, because there are so many different cultures with their own agendas. Sort of like the saying, "Too many cooks will spoil the broth." I don't see how a nation can be identified as a single unit when this occurs. That is why I dislike questions on aform which invariably ask your ethnicity. This singles people out and helps to divide our nation.

There is no such thing as multiculturalism. This is an intentional deception by marxists to try and destroy western civilizations by tricking them into thinking that more than one culture can live together in tolerance and harmony. The only solution that works when people from another culture come to a country is integration. They shed their old culture and adopt the new culture. At most, a handful of the best traditions from their old culture are maintain to "flavor" the culture of their new home. Certainly, no allegiance or identity to the old culture remains. This has been the successful paradigm for immigration until the current generation.
When immigrants are not required to do this, you get balkanization. Small, HIGHLY dysfunctional pockets of aliens develop with the culture. They pretty much exploit and undermine their new home. Mostly they have no intention of even staying long term. In the worst cases (for example muslims), the only reason they came in the first place is to wage covert war against the country. You see this very clearly in France where the government there is very close to being overthrown by muslims waging jihad there using this technique. A similar thing is happening in the US via a certain segment of the mexican population (La Raza is the most known of these groups).
There has NEVER, in human history, been an example of successful multiculturalism. Usually, the parent culture does not tolerate new comers (often violently) attempting to maintain their own identity, as well it should not. Different cultures are competitors....natural enemies. Although they can form alliances, it is impossible for them to live in such proximity, peacefully and sanely. The result is always the same....balkanization, conflict, even war. Good fences make good neighbors is more than just a platitude. It's a fundamental fact of human societies.

I think that it takes away from the beauty of the country's culture. Just look at what "multiculturalism" did to China a few years back. That country was thrown into chaos and they are finally recovering. If anything, multiculturalism destroys a country... or their opposing party.

The assumption built into your question is that a nation is defined by having a single, homogeneous culture. Do you think that is truly the case?
I am also curious as to whether you refer to "nation" in the sense of an "imagined community" (Anderson), or if you actually mean "nation-state" (popularly, a country).

I agree it takes over a nations culture!!
It should be stopped every where in the world
All the countries should be left UNIQUE!!
so when one goes on a holiday they truly
are seeing a new country
I never ever voted for it here
it was just forced on me by the governments
Let people come & live in your country
but make them speak the same language etc etc
& only be loyal to the new country they joined!!!
no dual citizenship.
