£20 for two to three hours.Once the cleaner is on top of the job it doesent take has long. Also it has to be worth it to the cleaner so £20 is fair if you ask me.

I have been seriously considering it but have a problem with trusting complete strangers in my house and I wouldn't have the time to watch them while they work. I would also feel uncomfortable letting them clean my house while I was at home so I would probably end up doing half of the work anyways.
I heard the cleaner around here are getting very picky, they overcharge and they won't move anything around, only dust, mop and clean around the furniture and whatever may be on the floor. I have a house full of boys most of the week, if I was going to pay someone for cleaning I would also want them to pick up toys etc.

I am a cleaner. I charge $15 an hour. I have not done any ironing, but I do laundry for one of my clients. Some times the cleaning person will even be willing to take your clothes home and do them there. This way they don't have to be in your house, if that is what you want.

Seeing as I hate ironing, I would pay someone if I could afford it. Check with your local dry cleaners what they charge to press items. That will give you an idea.

No cos you know what - I would hate the thought of them going through all my stuff. Sorry to say I wouldn't trust a stanger in my house. Ya know like you always have private bits about that you don't lock away, like bills, dirty knickers on the bathroom floor or whatever I would feel like I had to clean before the cleaner cleaned!

Hey, I pay 2o pound for a full going over of my house, including hoovering, dusting. cleaning etc.. I think it usaully takes a few hours!
I am gonna start doing it once a month and then i can just top it up every day and it will take alot less time as it should never get dirty as only 2 of us in the house!

Are you ready for this one? We had a girl come to our home and clean it, stem to stern. She worked without stopping for lunch for ten hours straight. I have never seen any human being work as hard as she did. She spent two hours alone in our bathroom, and it glistened when she came out of it, two hours later. We paid her exactly two hundred and fifty dollars, or twenty five dollars per hour. I was sitting across the room as my partner was writing the check, and I walked over to her and handed her an extra twenty for gas for her truck saying "And worth every penny. You did a magnificent job, a we both thank you from the bottom of our hearts!"
