I am doing a chemistry project and I am the element Francium. We have to dress up like the element itself, and so I am dressing up like a French person.
I have a polka-dot scarf and a sutffed poodle, any ideas on what else I can add to the outfit?
Thanks for your help!!

Oh and I go to an all-girls school in which we wear uniforms, so whatever I wear will have to be over our uniforms (its stupid)

Hi. I'm a french woman. Your chemistry project is funny, and I hope you'll find some good advices here.
But as Wizzie said, american people always represent french people with a beret on their head, but actually NOBODY wears berets in France for something like a century !!! In my whole life, I think I've seen maybe six or seven persons wearing a beret, and they were very old men... A curvy moustache is also something unusual. Forget onions and galic too, I can't see any relationship with the classic french people image and those vegetables !
Concerning the baguette, we must admit that we eat a lot of bread, and you will be identified representing France with a baguette, so you should use it.
Maybe you could play with the fashion image of France, wearing some fake french famous trademarks like Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Jean-Paul Gaultier or Christian Lacroix, you can copy their logo and put it on your clothes.
Have fun !

Hi,
Your ideas are pretty good.
Forget about the beret ; nobody wears a beret in towns. It's old-fashioned.
Of course, we don't wear onions or garlic around our neck.
The baguette could fit also. At least, everybody will recognize the baguette...

a cigarette (they still smoke like crazy) a baguette under your arm and a bottle of bordeaux wine in one hand...
some stinky cheese in your purse and some pointy shoes. a beret on your head and of course, use your accent...
Bon chance!
