Although Brain is correct! There is more than just history.
1. History files
2. Temprary Internet files
3. Cookies
When you delete all these items, someone may notice thay they all are gone. Meaning the last user on the computer "YOU" went to a site that you shouldn't goto. IE: You get busted even if they don't know where you went.
It's better to delete only the sites you went to than all of them.

If you're getting rid of an old PC? Open the computer, unscrew the hard drive, drill it and bingo. Done. Keeping your PC? Tougher to do this "irretrievably." Good luck.
