LAND QUESTION - higher level answers needed?
Is there land, or islands, that remain unclaimed by countries, ie: A island out at sea.

Any info. would be helpful, facts/sources needed.

Well, Mystery - I actually gave your question a little thought and one point in my life or another I often wondered the same thing. Although there are no real solid facts on that and mostly speculation. There is one message board that I had ran accross. I felt I would share with ya.

There are many uncharted islands in the oceans of the world. However, they all fall within one or another country's territory. You could feasibly live on some remote island and nobody would care or even discover you. However, the minute you plant your flag on it, you can bet you'll hear from somebody.

Only Antarctica. And by international treaty, it can't be claimed by any person or country.
