It sounds like you might me headed for a career in sports therapy-sports medicine or something like that. Ask yourself if you like to work directly with people. It sounds like you do. If not, study for a computer job. And if you like to talk to people and help them, then I think you might have a place in a physical therapy office or running the local YMCA. Good luck.

I second the motion on sports therapy as an option. My brother, who played a ridiculous amount of sports growing up, is very pleased with his sports medicine program and has excellent job prospects when he leaves school.

What you really need to do is sit down and decide what you love. Take a variety of classes. Anything you can, anything that piques your interest. Also, look back on the things you enjoy. You mention basketball, which is a great start, and also that you are outgoing. Working with people in a sports field may be where you want to go. This is the way I figured out my career. After years of agonizing over what I was going to do with my life, I realized that all of the nonfiction books I've read over the years were anthropology or anthropology-related. I also realized that I had skipped going to a Bush concern in high school so that I could do a class activity involving an archaeological dig, and that I love travelling and working outside. With all of that, it was obvious that archaeology is the career for me. I went for it, and I absolutely love it. Try writing down a list of all of your interests and talents, no matter how small or silly, and see where it takes you.

If you love basketball, then go for it! also don't beat yourself up if it doesn't work out; i'm majoring in math but it's looking like it may not work.
