I thought that by then we would be living like the Jetsons...but noooo...anyways I thought we were going to have minor meltdowns computerwise, but when you see that nothing bad happened in Australia, i figured nothing bad would happen here.

i didn't think anything adverse would happen with the computer systems. but i did think people would do some stocking up on "emergency" supplies and some would generally freak out and be afraid.
the year 2000 is a fairly arbitrary number because the calendar years have changed over the centuries. i didn't really understand how a cultural thing could affect computer systems so i couldn't imagine problems.

I thought things would have shut down until they got the bug out and the computer ready to take the "2000", but I was wrong, no bug, everything went fine.

I myself thought life would be much the same as in 1999. My thinking is that millenniums are the focal point of great change in human history. So for me, this millennium should be very interesting.

Nothing, and this was funny because I would hear rumors go around of people saying that everything will shut down or the computers aren't going to work, planes will crash, ect. ect.

all the computers would fail and, subsequently, all electricity, businesses, alarm systems, and bascially the whole world would fall apart b/c everything depends on computers/electronics. i though like all the bank systems, hospitals, prisons, ... yeah pretty much everything would die and we'd all be doomed =) lol
