Did Ennis have Jack killed? Ennis tells Jack in the last scence that "he would have him killed if he came to know all the things he doesn't know"....does this mean he had him wacked???? The forshadowing of the other "gay cowboy with his ding-ding pulled off"....was it that Ennis couldn't take this pain????
OR
Did the father in law find out he was gay or somebody else? Or did the woman he was having an affair with, was it his husband??? What do you think. This is making me CRAZY!!!!!

Jack was killed just like the gay man Ennis saw in his childhood. The story Jack's wife tells is the one she believes, but it's fake and Ennis knows that. Ennis threatened him (not seriously) because he was so jealous of Jack being with other men. I didn;t think Jack's father-in-law was involved, but it's possible-and it would explain why his wife got fed a story about his death.

Jack was killed by people in the community where he was living. They realized he was gay because his behavior was getting more and more obvious. So they killed him late one night.

As a lesbian I think it's an expression of pain.... I also think it's supposed to make you THINK about the situation the characters were in. Look at what they face every single day just because they're different.....

They forgot to have the other cowboys use the rubber band gun in that movie. That's how they should be dealt with.
