the fact that he hasn't been paying his taxes to the Government in the USA for about 6 years now. Only when they go for her Green Card (she is NOT an American) he is forced to tell her the truth. Then is when she finally finds out all his financial situation. And he seems to not have any intention to clear the debts. Quite the opposite. Looks like he brought her in to help him to work and make more money and also to pay the food she eats (his words). I would appreciate a piece of advice. Now she is back to her country and is safer, he does not want to help her after all that she lost by going up there when she married him. He says he is a good Christian, but he distorts what Christianity really is. Would you have stayed with him or would have ran away like she did? She left her belongings and also her car in the USA, which he never gave back to her. Not telling the emotional distress and all the shame she went thru back to her country. What to do with a man such a heartless guy?

Sorry to read about your life, whatever you did is right, you shouldn't be leading your life with a cheater who will cheat you again in long run. You should feel lucky you are back and not being tortured. there are many whose passports are taken and they are exploited in every possible way. So be thankful to God and lead your life afresh, forget him and never talk to him, coz such men trap a female with emotional talks .....don't get into his words again. Shun all contacts with him so that you can lead better life....all the best to you

RUN DON'T WALK!!! Once a liar, always a liar... They sound like a pair of conspiring and immature people - why would you even THINK about staying? Yeah it might be painful now, but think how much HARDER and more painful it would be if this were 10 years into the marriage, or 20?? Be thankful you have found this out now, before you and he have children, which would tie you to him in some way for life! He sounds like a coward, and a cheat, and if you have any self-respect, get the hell out of there and don't look back!! God God, you're only young!! The minute you say its not ok to treat you this way, is the minute everyone else will have to treat you better... PS - the kind of woman who lies about their child is the kind that attracts a man who lies about his child, and lies to his wife, and lies about everything really... do you really think you deserve that? Sister, you are building a castle on QUIKSAND!!

Forget him and look at his treatment as one of life's hard lessons - that sometimes a person we think we know is not really who he/she portrays themselves to be. You can't trust everyone you meet and when you find someone who you'd like to be with, they should be willing to share information about themselves and answer questions. Had you ever asked him about his finances in the six years you knew him? If not, why not?Someone you are about to share your life with should be willing to answer your questions, and you should be willing to answer his. Finances, religion, whether or not you want to have children, where you want to live, what your goals are - these are all things people should know about one another before getting married.

Maybe this is not a part of your culture but it is perfectly okay here for a woman to ask a man about his finances and any other questions she wants to ask.

ya know, it couldn't of worked out any other way...what did he expect, that you would pay his past debts? Anyone shameless enuf to hide from the government doesn't deserve to be in a comitted relationship, sounds like a real lack of ethics here. I wouldn't trust someone like that, he's already proven he is a cheater!

I would have done the same thing. No one needs that kind of pain. He's a jerk, not a real "good Christian" as he claims, and once again, a jerk. He'll probably get locked up for ditching his taxes for so long LOL

Screw that, I'd of done what she did, left his ***. Forget the car and other things, they're only materialistic things and can be replaced.
