I've worked with quite a few British people, and generally enjoy their company. They're often bright and have a good sense of humor.

I hope your move is successful, although I'm sure it will be difficult to leave your home.

I think a British accent goes a long way here--people find it charming. A few years ago, my parents did a house exchange with a young British couple that were about the same age as my husband and me, so we showed them around some. One night, they wanted to hear some live music, but didn't want to pay a big cover (this was in the DC area), so they picked a place south of Alexandria. It turned out to be a biker bar, the 4 of us were a bit out of place, but as soon as the 2 Brits started talking, things were cool.

Most of us "Americans" like all kinds of people, its what is in your heart, I am a people person. There are some states that are very different from another. Where do you plan on moving? Do you want country life or city life? Hot or Snow? Don't forget the damn taxes.

It's time to annex England. You don't really want to be part of "the Union" anyways. We're up for a wealthy state annexation and your prime minister is far more articulate than our President.

I think the british isles could effectively become our 51st, 52nd, and 53 states. (Scotland, England, and Wales) - Ireland will have to wait for Sinn Fein to sit down and shut up.
Then they can become East Ireland and West Irish York.
I think that'll do well.

Guinness will naturally become mostly additives.

My Nana is a britt. She's a great cook who always made toad in the hole. I think the TV shows are a lot funnier than American TV shows.

I think the Britts are great. I am a distant relative, the only difference is my family came across the pond in the 1600's. I say welcome!!

Many Americans I know are nice people, although sometimes they can be short-tempered and opinionated.
